The United College Action Network, Inc (U-CAN), is a California Nonprofit 501 © (3) and was founded to address this deepening crisis and is one of the only community based college recruitment organizations that works exclusively with HBCUs.   U-CAN provides leadership, services and assistance to students who wish to gain enrollment in a four-year HBCU.   Since 1988, more than 25,000 students have received services from  U-CAN   Since 1999 alone, more than 4,000 seniors have been accepted to an HBCU and over 900 have received scholarships.   Additionally, since 1999, U-CAN has also acquired more than $24,000,000 in scholarship monies on behalf of U-CAN students.

Under the leadership of Mr. Rowe, U-CAN has created successful educational partnerships, support, outreach, mentoring programs and services throughout California as well as the United States.
